Volunteers can
- learn, develop and share their creative skills at our arts
workshops
- try their hands at rural crafts such as blacksmithing,
woodworking and beekeeping
- share their gardening knowledge and and enjoyment of working
with nature
- enjoy working with a lively team of people
- gain satisfaction from helping others
Experience with working with people with mental health problems is
a benefit but not necessary.

Volunteering as a trustee
The policy and direction of Root & Branch is set by our trustees.
If you have management experience, you may like to contact us to
see if you would be suited to work in a team with the other
trustees. Trustees' meetings are held once a month in the
evening and you will be expected to spend a few days a month on
Root & Branch work. We are particularly keen at the
moment to find a trustees with health & safety or fundraising
experience.
