Can we help you?

Therapeutic gardening and rural crafts for people who experience mental health difficulties

Home If you are having mental health problems, we may be able to help you.  You should already be seeking professional help from your GP or mental help workers.  We can then make a positive additional contribution to your recovery.

We pride ourselves in offering a welcoming, friendly and non-judgmental environment for you to explore your abilities and improve your wellbeing.  Some people say that we have created a sanctuary for you to relax in and feel safe but also try new things which will help you regain your self esteem.

We started off as a gardening project and this is still the heart of our activities so we call our clients Gardeners.  But don't worry, there are many other activities in addition to gardening making the days very varied.

So Root & Branch is suitable for people who want to:

  • take steps to improve their mental health
  • get involved in stimulating and interesting activities
  • meet new people
  • feel part of a team
  • develop confidence and self-esteem
  • develop employment skills and work experience
  • feel as though they are doing something worthwhile
  • learn about gardening and crafts
  • spend time in the beautiful countryside
  • talk to people about recovery

We may be able to help with transport to and from the Root & Branch
